Then, after a long hiatus, on August 10th, 2025, Smug Film returned! You can read our new pieces, as well as a complete archive of our old pieces, over at Smug Film Substack<\/a>.<\/p>\n This old WordPress website (that you are reading these words on right now) is DEFUNCT, but is being kept around for posterity \/ nostalgia \/ not wanting to break all the links in Google searches purposes. If this WordPress site is ever broken, it is because it is becoming increasingly out of date, and there’s nothing we can do about that. BUT, literally ALL of our old pieces, plus new ones, are available on the Smug Film Substack<\/a>. So just go there! That is the new home for Smug Film.
